Reengineering the Failed Workflows

A.Cicortaş, V.Iordan, A.Fortiş, F.Fortiş

Dynamics of real business processes and not only must be reflected in an efficient way in corresponding workflow. Workflows for many systems were growth in their complexity. During execution of a workflow instance it can fail and it will affect the execution itself and also more over the business process. The paper analyzes the workflow components, i.e., the activities and the effects of their failures during the execution. It concludes that for every activity are necessary some specific attributes and during the workflow execution their results that are appropriate must be saved in a data base. Under these conditions in the case of workflow failure a multi-agent system will analyze it, and will rebuild the remainder (part of) workflow for being restarted.
