Henri-Jean Pollet and Eric Mannie-Corbisier (Perceval Technologies)

This paper introduces the Virtual ISP (VISP) project that intends to develop a software platform enabling a cluster of SMEs to collaborate and operate as a single business entity, in multiple dynamic business models, for the production of tailored Internet Service Provider (ISP) solutions adapted to local business needs. This Research and Development project started end of 2005 and is performed by a consortium of 11 European partners in 10 different European countries. VISP received research funding from the European Community’s Sixth Framework Programme (FP6).
