VISP is a Specific Targeted Research Project (STREP) from the 4th call of FP6 IST framework, contributing to the ‘E-Business' within the framework of the specific research and development programme ‘ integrating and strengthening the European Research area'.

The main objective of VISP is to develop a software platform enabling a cluster of SMEs to operate as a single business entity, in multiple dynamic business models, for the production of tailored Internet Service Provider (ISP) solutions adapted to local business needs.

A part of the VISP software package is publicly available as open source and hosted at Berlios.
